Can i use the same satellite dish of airtel tv with dish tv?

Actually i have a satellite dish (obtained from a frnd) along with the small receiver.Can i use it with dish tv .Also if any one can explain the different parts of a satellite dish.can i connect the satellite dish directly with tv with out any set top box?|||well since you didnt say what kind of receiver you have, cant say it will or will not work with dish network,call dish network. ok the eyes of your dish is called the LNB-(low noise block)they direct the satellite beam into your coaxial cables to your receiver,on the back of the dish there is elevation and azimuth guide if you know the placement of the satellite you are looking for you can slide the elevation and azimuth to its location in the atmosphere.and no you cant have it connected directly to your tv cause the box has to de-scramble the beam|||No, you need a Dish Network dish to watch Dish Network programming.
