I will tell you though when we had Direct TV, we had the code and it took multiple tries to get it to work. If you know the code you will just have to keep playing with it until it takes it.
And while I know you can read directions it might help to call Your dish people and have them talk you thru it.
It is very hard to program their remote controls.
