Ethernet question for connecting Dish TV to computer?

To run an ethernet cable from my computer to the Dish TV reciever would be about 30 feet. Two questions: 1) Would running an ethernet cable this long effect quality? 2) Any recommendations with regard to the ethernet cable (best brand, etc)?





Thanks!|||30 feet it would definitely work so don't need to bother about brand there are various like dlink, avaya, lucent they are top most brand if you are using inside home you can buy cat5 and if you need to use outside or having electric or magnetic interference than use cat6.

Your length is about 1/10th of this max so all should work.
