Assess your business. Decide whether your business has the customer-base, and, consequently, the need to offer Dish Network service. Remember, you live in an age where every consumer electronics “big-box” retailer offers satellite service. Survey your customers and the area that surrounds your business to find out if Dish Network service is desired.

Step 2Contact Dish Network. While it seems simple, Dish Network will need to verify a few things regarding your business before you can become an authorized retailer of their service. They won't need to look at your books or verify personal information, but they will need to consult tax records to make sure that your business is legitimate. Visit their website at the link listed below for further contact information.

Step 3Have Dish Network train your employees. Dish Network will provide free, on-the-spot training and training literature in order to assure that your employees are knowledgeable with regards to their products. Always consult the Dish Network field representative for your area if you are unsure about any of their products or policies.

Step 4Understand that being a satellite service retailer comes with ups and downs. Some weeks will bring excessive revenue, while others will bring a loss in commission. Customers cancel satellite service in favor of another provider on a regular basis, so do not be alarmed when you find that you have been decommissioned.

Step 5Follow Dish Network's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Since Dish Network is allowing you to sell, and, in turn, make money from their services, they will want you follow their selling procedures to the letter. Always follow their rules and procedures when selling their equipment and services to your customers.
