Does the Sharper Image jumbo touch Pad Remote work well with Dish TV or Direct TV?

I was thinking about buying one for my boyfriend and he has either Dish TV of Direct TV (I can't remember which) but I was wondering if anyone has used it before and can it perform all of the functions the normal remote for satellite tv can? I would greatly appreciate the help!|||No. Unless you buy a high end remote it will not have functions for your satellite tv or DVR functions
